Ziramba is a legally registered company supporting African manufacturers and contractors in Africa. Our goal is to bridge the gap between suppliers and contractors through an online platform. We aim to empower Africans to become producers and sell to each other and have access to the world market. We hope to onboard suppliers of construction materials and home improvement goods such as: cement, steel manufacturing, electricals, appliances, electrical furniture, plumbing, home decor, etc. Our vision is to build Africa!

Founder’s story:
The founders of Ziramba are Claude Irankunda & Dewey Bazirake, two East African students who met at the University of Rochester in 2017. Claude is a Software Engineer by profession and Dewey Bazirake, a Data Scientist, by profession. Our story started through creating a club focused on promoting African entrepreneurship at our university. We came together and decided to sell African crafts at African themed events on campus. We got along and understood one another when it came to running the business. We wore all the hats: finances, sales, marketing, HR, etc. Due to the low number of events for us to sell our products, we decided that we should start an online business so that we can sell African products at any time. The more we talked about this, the more we fell in love with the idea. Where should we launch this platform? AFRICA, we decided! Our goal is to support African producers to reach a bigger market and for the African consumers to access the best quality products based on variety and choice, at the most affordable price. From there on, we started the journey of www.ziramba.com
The road ahead:
We have launched in East Africa, starting in Rwanda where we have partnered with several suppliers and contractors. We are committed to excellence, quality and paramount customer service. We believe that Africans have the creative and entrepreneurial spirit to succeed. We are here to make our customers succeed. We hope to support the development of Africa and the world through the fusion of construction and technology.
